Highlights on the culinary front

The Namibia Tourism Expo will be rocking on the culinary front, with a host of acclaimed local and South African chefs strutting their stuff behind the stoves in the Gourmet Hall.
Thursday 19 May
As from 13:00, Chef Chantel Loteryman shares some of her secrets, followed by a stellar presentation by Namibia’s Junior Chef of the Year Jo-Andri Pretorius and Jeandre Basson of Cafe Jojo's at 14:15.
Chefs Jonathan and Angela from Jono's Bistro share exciting new trends at 15:30, followed by top South African chef Jodi-Ann Pearton that performs some magic using Deli Spice products. Don't miss out on the Giggling Gourmet Jenny Morris assisted by Namibia Media Holdings' Hennie Geldenhuys at 18:00, after which chef Janina from Flant and her (humble!) assistant Sanet Prinsloo will be preparing 10-minute delicious dinners for busy people at 19:30.
Friday 21 May
The Cakemaster Chef Anni will demonstrate how easy it is to make your own birthday or wedding cake - and then help the audience to eat it all at 13:00, followed by Christie Keulder and chef David Thomas showing us how to use indigenous produce in our home kitchens at 14:15.
Chef Rhona Strauss from N/a' an ku sê shares some of her exciting recipes at 15:30, while Tom Mutavdzic and his team from the Silver Spoon Hospitality Academy entertain guests as from 16:45.
The Giggling Gourmet Jenny Morris and Namibia’s own Antoinette de Chavonnes Vrugt will be showing off her brand new book at 18:00, while the day’s events are concluded with chef Jodi-Ann Pearton and Sanet Prinsloo featuring an exciting array of side dishes.
