Okapuka Game Ranch, situated on the outskirts of Windhoek towards the north, recently entered into a joint venture with Gondwana Collection Namibia. This collaboration brings about a new chapter for both companies, with the joint venture comprising equal shareholding between Klein Okapuka CC and Gondwana Collection Namibia (Pty) Ltd, in terms of management only. Okapuka was originally opened in 1998 and has since become a local and internationally renowned mainstay in the Namibian tourism industry. It has always been known for its spectacular game drives, just 30 minutes outside Windhoek’s CBD, yet deep enough into the bush to enjoy a true safari experience. Okapuka is planning an extensive revamp of the lodge, which will only be the first step in giving this establishment a new lease on life. The recent joint venture with The Weinberg Windhoek will enable further synergies between these two top locations, combining the professional comforts of the city with the peace and tranquility of the bush. Renovations are set to start in October with Gondwana Collection Namibia taking bookings as of1 November 2022. The first guests will be welcomed to the lodge in April next year.
